Nodding My Head Like Yeah

So we've been MIA for weeks. Again. Story of our lives. What are ya gonna do.

In our defense, things have been happening. Exciting things, memorable things, things which we can't discuss entirely right now. But overall, prognosis for the immediate future: good. We may reflect more on this at a later date and time.

The running photo shoot at Syracuse, where we were going to reunite and pose in Under Armour? Yea, that didn't happen. But we do have these fun shots, featuring Ange in the bed of a pick-up and yours truly posing by the sign for quite possibly my favorite street of all time.

As for running ---- wellll let's just say that the 2 hour goal for the Pittsburgh half (coming up on May 2nd eeekkk) is looking a little lofty now. And 5 days in Syracuse solved the mystery of "how did I gain so much weight in college?" by day 3, when I was struggling to pull my jeans up. And really, it shouldn't be a mystery when you eat two dinners at happy hour along with 5-7 pitchers of beer. Or so I've heard. So I'm trying valiantly to get back on track and not eat like a college kid. Key word: trying. More on this tomorrow.

  2. oh uptown girl i knew i liked you. i personally think there is nothing wrong with 2 dinners at happy hour...I didn't tell the whole story in the post though.

Full disclosure: after eating chicken tenders and cheese fries for dinner #1 and hummus and pita for dinner #2 (yea i tried to be healthy later on) I then went back to our sorority house where I scoured the fridge for leftovers from dinner. And I'm not joking when I say I was disappointed by the lack of food leftover.

So I made mac n cheese and had chips and candy. And that is why I woke up on Saturday with pain in my chest (most likely because my stomach was trying to expand rapidly and had nowhere to go. And yes, I realize that's probably not even a medical possibility).
